Last weekend my friend Olivia and I participated in the annual Spoon river Drive in Bernadotte, Illinois - so much fun! Here are the Christmas cards I hand lettered for the show. I still have some in stock, so message me if you'd like to purchase any of these sweet cards for your holiday!
My bff Olivia (since 8th grade!) and I are participating in a fall craft show down by home. Of course we waited until the absolute last minute to begin making items...so this week I kicked it into gear. Sewing past my bed time. Business cards. Signage for our little shop happens tomorrow night! Here's a sneak peek at what we've been up to:
If you're around Bernadotte the first weekend of October, come say hi!
i love the challenge of a new craft - i like being able to tackle different materials and say 'oh yea i can do that'. this painted wine glass 'to-do' for an old middle school friend took my love for calligraphy and painting and combined them into a personalized bridal shower take-home. i kept the color pallet SUPER simple to keep them classy. each glass got its own patterned bottom, with each guests' name hand lettered onto the goblet.
a good friend of mine had the sweetest little baby girl a month ago - and asked me to help out with the birth announcement to send to family and friends. i was more than happy to share in the special occasion and it was a fun change up from wedding invitations! i'm dying over her cuteness.
For Christmas this year, one of my favorite gifts was Melissa Esplin's online calligraphy class - I Still Love Calligraphy. I've followed her blog for years, and was dying to take this class to expand on my lettering skills. It was awesome - she is awesome! And she was kind enough to feature me as one of her students.
